Mohamed Salah Issues Statement to Teammates, Reveals Curtis Jones
Jones has revealed that the Egyptian forward expressed regret to the group of players following the uproar from his televised remarks.

Salah was left out from a European match after making accusations and suggesting his relationship with manager had soured.
“Mo is his own man and he can say his own stuff,” Jones told Sky Sports. “He apologised to us and was like: ‘If I’ve affected anybody, please accept my apology.’”
Arne Slot has previously declined to disclose on whether he was apologised to from the player.
Team Unity
Jones insisted that the team's response was unchanged. “He was his usual self, his demeanour was positive and it was business as usual,” he continued.
The midfielder also suggested that a competitor wanting to play is preferable. “I get that there are certain ways you can express yourself,” he said. “Yet, should someone be happy to just sit out, then I think that’s a bigger problem.”
Positive Results
The team's performance have remained strong in the games following the initial controversy. The player is convinced the forward's comments were not designed to harm the team.
“If passion has boiled over, the source has been from a desire to win,” he finished. “We’re past that now and we’re uniting strongly, performing and on a positive run.”
